Square in shape, the zabuton is a floor cushion used for meditation.
Usually used with a zafu or a crescent moon cushion, the zabuton is comfortable for the knees and ankles.
The outer cover have a zipper along one side so that it can be easily removed and washed. Inside the cover, the buckwheat hulls are enclosed in a natural cotton casing, and a short zipper allows you to add or remove buckwheat hulls.

Stuffing :
The cushion is filled with buckwheat hulls from Quebec. In view of sustainable development, this has the advantage of being recycled, renewable, durable and compostable. In addition, buckwheat hulls are hypoallergenic, anti-mite and anti-bacterial.
After a few months of use, the volume of the new cushion is reduced by 5 to 10%. We can at this time add shells to restore the volume of the cushion. After a few years, it is a good idea to replace the shells with newer ones.
Maintenance:
Avoid placing the cushion on a dirty or dusty surface. To wash the cushion, remove the lining and handwash with cold soapy water. Let the cover air dry and take this opportunity to air out the buckwheat hulls in the sun on a large cloth.
